General Information and Workshops

Did you know that NEILS can provide not only information about our programs and services, but also presentations about almost any disability-related topic? Schedule a speaker for your school, workplace or church!

Our staff can provide information on the programs and services offered by our organization and educate NE Missouri about disability-related issues and independent living.

Presentations and disability awareness workshops are available to businesses, service providers, rehabilitation centers, religious organizations and classrooms from kindergarten to university graduate programs. We can create programs that cover a wide range of issues and tailor presentations to meet specific needs.

School Disability Awareness Program

Our School Disability Awareness Program strives to break down stereotypes about people with disabilities. It also encourages greater inclusion of students with disabilities in the community, at school, at work and during recreational activities.

We offer disability awareness workshops to students, school administrators and teachers. The workshops promote self-sufficiency and open lines of communication between children who are disabled and their non-disabled peers.

Many times, our staff member presenting a School Disability Awareness Program is a person with a disability who can provide first-hand information about disability awareness.
